Pride Month is always a time for celebration, but this year, Lady Gaga’s Haus Labs and Sephora are raising the bar—and the banner—for what beauty can mean to the LGBTQIA+ community. Their 2025 campaign, “We Belong to Something Beautiful,” is more than a tagline; it’s a rallying cry for kindness, inclusion, and unapologetic self-expression.
Beauty as a Vehicle for Change
At the heart of this campaign is a short film starring Lady Gaga herself, reminding us why she’s always been more than a pop icon. In the film, Gaga speaks candidly about beauty—not as a set of standards, but as a community built on love, acceptance, and the freedom to be seen. “Beauty is about belonging,” Gaga declares, inviting viewers to find their own place in the story.
But this isn’t just about glossy visuals and celebrity endorsements. Sephora’s “Classes for Confidence” are making a real-world impact, bringing people together for hands-on lessons in both makeup and self-empowerment. It’s beauty with a purpose, and it’s happening in stores and online, wherever the community gathers.
Putting Money Where the Heart Is
Talk is cheap, but this campaign is putting real dollars behind its message. For every Haus Labs product sold at Sephora during June, the retailer will donate $1 (up to $500,000 in the U.S.) to the Born This Way Foundation’s Kindness in Community Fund. This fund supports grassroots organizations that are making safe spaces and mental health resources available to LGBTQIA+ youth.
And the reach is global: 20 Sephora markets, from North America to Europe to Asia, are participating. It’s a reminder that Pride is a worldwide movement—and that beauty knows no borders.
Brave Spaces: Where Pride Gets Personal
For the second year running, Sephora is inviting customers into “Brave Spaces” at select stores in 74 cities. These aren’t your average makeup counters. Here, LGBTQIA+ folks and their allies can experiment with bold Pride looks, guided by beauty advisors who are trained not just in technique, but in empathy. The result? A retail experience that’s as affirming as it is glamorous.
The Power of Community
What makes this campaign truly special is its invitation for everyone to get involved. Sephora and the Born This Way Foundation are calling on the public to nominate local organizations that are making a difference for LGBTQIA+ communities. Nominations are open through June, with grant winners announced at the end of the year. It’s a chance for everyday heroes to get the spotlight—and the support—they deserve.
More Than a Campaign, It’s a Movement
Lady Gaga and her mother, Cynthia Germanotta, are clear about their mission: to build a kinder, braver world for the next generation. Sephora’s leadership echoes that sentiment, aiming to turn the beauty counter into a launching pad for real change.
This Pride, Haus Labs and Sephora aren’t just selling products—they’re selling hope, joy, and the radical idea that beauty belongs to everyone. And in a world that still too often tells LGBTQIA+ people to dim their light, that’s something worth celebrating.
